Frequently Asked Questions about Europass Mobility
Europass Mobility is the right document for anyone who is spending time abroad for educational purposes:
Europass Mobility is filled in by the partners involved in the mobility - the sending and host organisations.
Europass Mobility can be generated online at http://www.europass.at/was-ist-europass/mobilitaetsnachweis/.
Europass Mobility can be issued in one or several European languages agreed upon by the sending and host partners.
Generating a Europass Mobility means that several parties work together - sending and host institutions as well as the person engaged in the activity abroad. As soon as all parties have made their entries, Europass Mobility is ready to be printed!
The following requirements must be met:
If the stay abroad happens in the context of a European or national mobility programme (like Erasmus+) no further contract has to be set up. The national Europass Centre may check at any time if a corresponding contract or grant exists.
You can use the instructions for sending and host partners (available in German only). They give step by step instructions on how to create a Mobility document and are available for downloading or can be ordered from the Europass centre.
No. Europass Mobility is not an official document, but a quality certificate. Europass Mobility is used on a voluntary basis by the sending and host partners.
Europass Mobility uses the same structure all over Europe and contributes to a transparent documentation of job-related and educational stays abroad. Employers get concise information about important qualifications. Europass Mobility issued as a print-out is only valid if it has been signed and stamped by at least one partner organisation.
